Fic Update
I noticed a lot of comments asking when the next chapter of Risks will be out. Depending on how long the beta'ing process takes, it should be this weekend.

I also want to mention that I'm writing a sequel to Justin and Gabrielle in a Bottle. Yes, yes, I know you don't care. I know there are like, six of you who actually like the freaking thing. That's okay. I need to write it.

I want to mention a couple of things about it, because I need a little break from fiction for a few minutes here.

My sequel will, of course, still be complete crack, but I decided to actually try to make Justin something remotely like, well, Justin. I originally based bottle!Justin on canon... the two seconds in Season 2 where Justin comes into Woody's looking for Brian, and he stands there all scared in his little grey hoodie? The rest was basically based on a golden retriever puppy.

Then there's Brian. My bottle!Brian fundamentally fell in love with Justin for no reason whatsoever except he was pretty, naked, and fainted a lot. The canonical roots of that? None whatsoever. It's like, so completely and astonishingly un-Brian I scared even myself, considering how I agonize over characerization in my serious fic. (Those of you who think I get that just as wrong should hush now, momma's talking.)

I did get all the characters from Xena pretty much perfect. I was v v proud of that.

So I'm going to see if the basic crackishness can continue if I let Justin be, well, a bit more Justin-like.

I kind of like woobie!Brian, so it remains to be seen what I do with him. I may just let him trail around after Justin and pine for a while. I'm just mean that way. It also leaves much more scope for the important lap sitting and carrying themes.

Don't feel any obligation to read the sequel to bottle!fic but do be aware that I won't let them go 13 chapters before they fuck ever again.

I also have a sequel to my classic Xena fic, which was called "Persistence," that will go to beta next week. It's okay if you don't read that, too. I haven't figure out the title for that one yet. Hopefully before I post it, something will come to me.

The sequel to Risks is called "Families," but I think before I write that I'm going to post the first chapter of an AU I'm writing. I seem to be totally blocked on titles, as that one is still without one, too. My first AU. I'm really excited. I also am writing for the hurt/comfort challenge.

In other news, the fandom is still here.

ROFL, let me clarify.

Depending on how much my first draft sucks and how much red ink is on said draft when it's returned to me, promptly as always, by my beloved and very speedy beta.

How's that?

As one of the six (yeah, right), may I say that you could write your laundry list, and I would squee like a bitch. I'm just saying.

Uh huh. See that you don't. I might be forced to...steal your shoes. yes, I am aware that I have an unhealthy facination with your shoes. Your own damn fault, taunting me with that icon.

The sequel to Risks is called "Families,"

OMG if you are One of Six does that make me Two of Six....I would REALLY like to be Seven of Nine (fuck she is hot), but considering I am her opposite physically, I am more than happy to be Two of Six. Either that or you know, just your friendly everyday FlirtywWhorePuppet!

*faints* at the thought of you standing at ready with your two commas and a hopeful expression.....

"In other news, the fandom is still here."

I'm really glad to hear that. I was beginning to worry that we were experiencing death by fedora.

I have to admit that naked!fainting!Justin has a special place in my heart. So I hope you will include at least one fainting spell.

How I see it is, he has total PTSD from being thrown out by his parents, drugged and kidnapped and tortured, put in a bottle, and then tied to an altar and ritually sacrificed.

He'll faint, I promise.

Wow, you have a lot of fics on your mind right now.

When I thought of "Persistance," the first word I thought of was "persuasion." Don't know if that helps with the title, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

Your first AU. YAY. I'm very curious.

I'm really looking forward to reading the next chapter of Risks and am thrilled that you have another sequel planned in this universe.

The fact that you're writing an AU totally blows me away. I can't wait to see what your premise is.

Last night a lot of fics were started/updated. After your recent post I've just been mentally noting them. LOL

So, you based this on 80% of the fanfic out there, huh?

Oooh, pining!Brian! Gimme crack, baby!

Really looking forward to the AU. I'm totally into them these days.

Oh, yes, the dire warnings of its demise are always rather like the shaggy men wearing placards that predict Jesus's coming with flames and everything.

An AU you say? Whoa. I’m really curious to see what you come up with.

*sits back and waits* All this new fic. This is going to be so much fun! Providing it doesn’t kill you first.

I do not know how you keep it all going, keep it all straight. While I haven't pushed the evelope on this yet, I'm pretty sure I could only keep two stories going at one time, you've got like what? four?

Looking forward to bottle/Justin/Brian/Xena/Gabrielle(sp?),that was the first story of yours I read.

I'm amazed you're doing the hurt/comfort challenge given your angst-phobia, good for you, I can't wait to read it.
