The fic-length two-step  
Damn. The final chapter of "Directions" is 18K words, too long for a single post. The last time this happened, I published it in two posts, which is weird because the second half appears on people's flists BEFORE the first half... and posting the halves in the opposite order doesn't have a good flow, either.

And it truly is all one single chapter; it doesn't have the flow or structure to be two separate chapters.

If you post the second half first, the story should be in the correct order.

can't you break it and publish the second part immediately before the first so that they end up in the right order? You can then add the link from part 1 to part two at the end of the first part :)

No rush at all... Ellen is still looking at my final draft, too, but it's already been revised like six times, I don't expect any but the most minor changes at this point. If you want to take it now, at least that way it will mean I can post it sooner than if I waited.

I'll send it, get to it when you can! Er, email me from the address you want me to use... I have like three for you!

If the order of the posts kills the flow, I'd say post on here anyway to have the complete story up and then somewhere off-site. Hopefully satisfies all parties. With that being said -- bring it on!
