See Xie hyperventilate!

When I was a little fangirl, and first discovered fan fiction, there were a couple of writers who basically exemplified everything wonderful and good about the genre to me. They were [livejournal.com profile] bigboobedcanuck , who had left the fandom when the series ended (with grace!), and [livejournal.com profile] ragingpixie , who hasn't written in a long time but still drops into fandom now and then to spread a little, well... SUNSHINE!

Nothing could have made me happier than to see that my "Sunshine mini-challenge" inspired her to write QAF fic! And when I read it, and saw what a finely crafted little gem it was, I got all giddy and fan-girly on her.

If you're not familiar with [livejournal.com profile] ragingpixie , please check out her work immediately -- and if you haven't seen this new story from her, you're in for a treat:

Made my day

I've been reading QAF fan fiction for a couple of years now and have read and enjoyed MANY writers. But I have to say, ragingpixe is my absolute favorite writer. I reread her stories ridiculously often. She captures the voices of Brian and Justin so well and has great story lines.

In addition to simply being a very fine writer, she also has the ability to evoke a huge range of emotional tone in her fic. It can be sad, happy, melancholy, tongue-in-cheek, sarcastic, love-flooded... it's just incredible. I love to immerse myself in her stories, and I'm so glad that you feel the same way! I get upset sometimes when I see fans going on and on over fic that makes me want to gouge out my eyes, and not know the really exceptional "classic" writers in our fandom.

I loved her new story! I really wish they both still wrote for the fandom!
