So, after the glorious high of the "Sunshine Mini-challenge," I had a week I can only call PURE AND UTTER SHIT.

But it's a three-day weekend and I'm taking the whole thing off (well, 85 percent anyway), so I'm hoping my current bright and shiny mood sticks with me until next week. And if not, hey, DENIAL is what I'm talkin' about!

So, here it is at last, the Sunshine Master List. And all joking aside, "You'll never know, dear, how much I love you" for playing with me last week. I needed this bad.

It's been a bright, bright, bright sunshine-y couple of days here in QAF fandom! Thank you to everyone who has been contributing... I adore you!

This is just a reminder that if you created or posted something for the "Sunshine Mini-Challenge," please post a link to it in the comments here if you haven't already. This is what I'm going to use to create a master list on Monday and on which I'll base my donation to the Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force, and I don't want to miss anything.

And I'm flexible on what time on Monday I can create the master list, so if you have something that's not quite ready, just post and let me know and I'll wait for it.

When I was a little fangirl, and first discovered fan fiction, there were a couple of writers who basically exemplified everything wonderful and good about the genre to me. They were bigboobedcanuck , who had left the fandom when the series ended (with grace!), and ragingpixie , who hasn't written in a long time but still drops into fandom now and then to spread a little, well... SUNSHINE!

Nothing could have made me happier than to see that my "Sunshine mini-challenge" inspired her to write QAF fic! And when I read it, and saw what a finely crafted little gem it was, I got all giddy and fan-girly on her.

“Suuuuuunshine.” Brian’s voice slurred as he held the bottle up to the light. He raised himself on his elbow. “Why the fuck did your mother call him that?”

Michael shrugged. He wasn’t really counting, but he was pretty sure this was the fifth night Brian had shown up, bottle in hand, just before Red Cape closed.

“C’mon,” he said, standing. “It’s late...”

Brian staggered up, nodding. “That’s right, Mikey. And you know...” he gave a big grin, and took another swallow. “I’m a fucking creature of the night. I hate the sunshine.”

Michael guided him towards the door. “I know.”
