Confessions of a professional fangirl

Dearest flist,

I know you are all very busy now watching new TV shows. I am not ignoring your posts about Dr. Who Meets Dexter at the Bionic Lost House of Heroes because I do not love you. It's just that I have no shows that I watch. There is really nothing I'm looking forward to watching. I have no idea what's on. I don't even know how to find the channels on my TV set, all I know how to do is use my DVD player and watch HGTV.

If I have to write about a TV show for my job, I have to download it and watch it all at once on my computer.

If you want me, I'll be over in the corner, making fire with two sticks.

Love,

Xie

but moonlight is about vampires and pushing daisies is about a guy who brings people back from the dead and dexter is the best show ever (that's currently on the air and doesn't have Brian or Justin) and he's a serial killer, and you know, an all around good guy and and and...

fuck it, you'll never watch them. How's that fire coming?

Aww that's ok because you still love Brian and Justin. But umm Not loving Doctor Who/Torchwood I don't know if that is healthy I really think everyone should be obsessed with them. I mean Captain Jack is to pretty not to have everyone love him. And as for the stick comment I swear if I knew how to put pictures in comments I have the perfect little picture for that..it shows how stick people became extinct..but anyway, I need to run now because house, reaper, boston legal, svu, and bones are on...(maybe you are the sane one, I watch to much tv..)

What about Lucy Lawless appearing on Burn Notice (with Sharon Gless)? Or did that already happen? I don't get the show here in Canada.

That show? Oh I LOVE that show.

It's probably better that you stay away from your television set. Remember what happened last time. ;-)

Is ...making fire with two sticks. code for writing the next chapter of Families? Because that's how I read it :D

Heh. I'm with you. I don't even have cable. I might tune into Grey's Anatomy on Thursday, but it kinda sucked last season so I'm not even excited about that. I'll probably be reading fanfic while it's on in the background. :-D

*joins you in the corner*

i'm not watching anything new either. we mostly only do tv on dvd here. i feel very out of the loop, but it doesn't bother me enough to actually check out any of those shows.

Dexter = Awesomeness . . . seriously.

Wow, we're like two halves of a whole. I watch NOTHING on TV, absolutely nothing. QAF has spoiled me for every other show. Nothing compares and I have no desire to try them.

Actually that sounds like something that Lost in Translation would spit out. That or an extreme crack parody. However, I stopped watching Lost a long time ago and have never seen any of the other shows so I can't comment beyond general silliness.

I do not have a close relationship with my T.V. and QAF was the last and only thing I watched - which makes me socially retarded by times but, I guess you knew that - Heh!

However, my daughter has started watching Gossip Girl, developed off the book series, which involves her doing much squeeing and talking to the t.v. and I turned my eyes to it ...and.... I am now waiting of for next week's episode.

I have no defense

:P

Until I was pressured to watch QAf, I didn't realize TV had gone beyond the one-foot-on-the-floor-when-in-bed era. Boy, was I astonished. It took me a week to get my chin off the floor.
