Did He or Didn't He?  
I was really surprised to read in a lot of fanfic that the authors believed Brian really did tell Justin "I love you" during their first fuck. I never believed it when Justin said it to Daphne, assuming it was just teenage romantic bragging.

I can't imagine Brian getting those words out under those circumstances, no matter how many drugs he'd done. I think we were supposed to believe Justin was just embellishing the story for Daphne (sheesh, and that's one story that truly did NOT need any embellishment!). Whatcha think?

I think it's one of those CowLip things - they imitated the original UK show, since Stuart is the type to just say whatever he wants to whenever, not thinking of meaning.

Brian evolved into a very different sort, so I think the PTB wanted us to pretend that didn't happen as the show and Brian evolved.

Good god, CL really are the ultimate bad!fic writers.

And I really shouldn't comment on canon plot anymore. It's why I stay out of the QAF coffee club - all my comments end up cursing CowLip as terrible writers. I just can't take canon too seriously anymore.

Me too, but if I can't bitch about QAF with you, then who can I? Tell you what, we'll just make Xie our official QAF rant-maker, then we can bitch without worry.

Ah, Jane! I need an icon that says that! "I just can't take canon too seriously anymore." That says what I feel perfectly. Or how about "C/L=bad!fic writers"? That works too. Thank you for the inspiration!
