I got out my biggest suitcase and put just my shoes and boots in it for my trip to New York and now the only other thing I can bring is a toothbrush.

And what I wear on the plane. I need to find one outfit that goes with all my shoes.

I do the same overpacking thing--with clothes. I'll have a huge suitcase stuffed full of outfits/coats and sweaters, but only 2 pairs of shoes to use with all of them. In NY, I may only have the ones on my feet, actually...Hmm.

I'm going twice. I think once I'll wear a black jacket and grey slacks and maybe my beautiful red shoes, unless it's too cold in which case, my beautiful black boots with the bow.

And the other time I'm still not sure. I'm still figuring that all out. These are VERY CRITICAL DECISIONS.

And none of my clothes fit me anymore! (which is actually a VERY good thing since I've shrunk by an entire 5th grader) But I have no money for new pretty clothes since I spent it all on the trip to NYC (and because I'm not done shrinking.)!

Darling....I truly understand. One, check baggage and bring more than one suitcase. Two, have one spectacular outfit with layers, excellent skirt or pants, shell top, sweater, excellent jacket or coat...mix and match and accessorize well with earings and SHOES or BOOTS. Three, sleep nekkid and bring tiny underwear that will fit rolled up in your shoes. Four, pack toilitries in your purse. Five, heels and a long coat always work for me.

FedX your shoes to your hotel and then you'll only need a carry-on with 4 black outfits with a few scarves or pins to add some color. This will leave room for a hair dryer. YOu don't wanna be going out in the cold with a wet head! :DD

Well, I have a long and happy shoe thing. Didn't I finally know that I realized it was a fetish when I got hooked up with y'all. I'm a total babe in the woods. But shoes - I'm right there. Anyone remember when Garolini's were the absolute shit? I bought two pairs on sale when I went to visit my folks in Michigan many moons ago, and never regretted it (but my mom was appalled.) But I wanted to pass a great manuscript along to my daughter and it was not possible. She wears a size 8 wide. Major bummer.
