We all know perfectly well how this story really ends, and it's not with Brian alone. That's just where the TV shows stopped, because the writers didn't know what they were doing, or got distracted by other agendas and lost track of telling The Story. Or maybe forgot they were supposed to be storytellers and not armchair philosophers or two-bit psychologists. Or maybe they just forgot that these were characters in a drama.

And if the story belonged to them, some of that might matter. But none of it does. Because the story belongs to us.

Have I told you that last paragraph is brilliantly written? Because, that last paragraph is beautifully written.
