Vamphile's funeral information and where to donate in her memory

Vamphile (later known as

epicallytired) passed away last weekend. Her funeral will be on Sunday, Feb. 16th at 12:30 pm at Joseph Levine & Sons Memorial Chapel, 4737 Street Road, Trevose, PA. Visitation will start at 11:30 am.

Vamph loved her dogs, and volunteered for a number of animal rescues. Donations can be made in her name to Street Tails Animal Rescue, 1030 N 2nd St #401, Philadelphia, PA 19123, or online here.

The service will be streamed on the web at http://levinefuneral.com. Her real name, which she herself had linked to her fandom identity at a website she wrote for, was Shari Brodsky.

I've been sitting here trying to come up with a gracious close to this post. I got nothin'.

This has been a real blow. Yes, I'd love to talk... I'm about to get on a plane for a business trip. I'll email from there and see if my Skype works!

God I haven't been on LJ for a while and then I logged on and saw this. This is absolutely tragic news. :(

'You Bet Your Ass' was the first story I ever read and was what introduced me to the world of fanfic. I remember my power going down one night and going to school the next day and printing it out, so that I would always get to read it. I remember sending her a long comment thanking her for her beautiful stories and the reply she posted.

Sending my love to her family. She will be sorely missed.
