Netflix giveth, and Netflix taketh away

Sigh, I was so happy to find that Queer as Folk is streaming on Netflix now, only to find out they had to change a lot of the songs. THE PROM IS RUINED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't even recognize the song that's on the prom dance now. Cha cha is a different song. So is the Pride dance.

When My Boy Walks Down the Street is still there. So is Lover's Spit. Still checking for others.

I have to tell you, I can't watch the prom with the wrong song. This should be illegal.

This is both tragedy and travesty! Thank god I have my DVDs. QAF is turning out to be a little like Star Wars. With each rerelease, they ruin it a little bit more.

They changed the music in 107. No more Little Soul. It's been replaced by a song about "a father's son" or something to that effect :(

I haven't gotten to the prom episode yet. At least now I'm prepared.

thank god i don't have netflix and that it airs regularly on OutTV in the great northern hinterland.
but of all the songs to keep the same STLD was definitely up there tied with Lover's spit.

*cries* I stopped before I even finished episode 1. There was no 'Proud'. It was the anthem of the show and they replaced it with I don't even know what. I don't even want to know what they end the whole series with in 513.

So disappointed for all of us and for the new fans who won't know the magic of watching the series with the original music.

I totally agree. When I went to check it out on Saturday and noticed the songs different in Ep1, I immediately went for the prom scene. I turned it off after that.

I'll stick to my DVDs.
