Photos?
Since day one, virtually every post I've done has had tons of photos in it. I use Firefox as my browser, and I use rich text and sometimes the basic LJ HTML editor, and the photos always look on Firefox just how I want them to.

I just looked at my journal with Explorer, and EVERY photo that is is left or right aligned just doesn't show up... only centered photos are visible.

Any hints? Do you see tons and tons of photos in my recaps and my Xena posts? Or just inexplicable white space? Test post here. There should be five photos. Thanks!

[UPDATE:] Well, no clue if this was the result of livejournal's problems earlier or a genuine browser-related bug, but... I've redone all my photos to be center-aligned so they should show up now. That truly sucks.

In your earlier posts, I saw all the photos, now just lots of white space. I wondered if they were supposed to be pix, but I'm such a techno tard, I thought I did something wrong. hee.

I saw pictures in all your earlier posts, but now only see text. I'm using Firefox, though--don't know if that makes a difference. And LJ seems to be a little dodgy tonight.

At home I use Mozilla, but here at work I have Explorer. Now I'm at work and I can see all your photos.

But I was very surprised a few days ago when I came home and I wanted to read again your post from 26/05-2006. Then I saw that you included the photos in your post as well. When I had read this post for the first time, I was at work and I could see only the text. Today (Explorer)I have no problem to see them.

Yeah, I've redone them all now to be centered. It doesn't look as nice but at least they're there.

I should have checked with Explorer but I'm more used to the opposite, that things work on IE but not on Firefox, I just didn't do it.

It's OK. The heart of your posts are the words. You really know what to do with them.

I'm dumb, I've never seen pics, just oddly shaped text and never thought to ask...

I've always been able to see your pics up until the test post yesterday (I wasn't able to comment then because I saw it at work and it's harder to escape quickly while typing and then went home with a splitting migraine and haven't been on lj till now). I keep forgetting there are differences in the way formatting looks in IE and Firefox but I prefer IE because it downloads pics much faster for me. The other thing I forget to consider is that pics I've placed side-by-side for comparison on my widescreen don't always appear that way on a conventional screen which kind of ruins the effect. It's strange how no-one either complains or notices though - except when they see red x's or a message saying picture deleted because it violated photobucket's stupid rules which nowadays that means no pictures outside of a G rating allowed. I fully expect all my b/j (non-nekkid) kissing pics to disappear any day now which means dozens of hours of work down the drain and time and money needed to restore them, not to mention the stress :( Livejournal has also started to clamp down on default icons in other people's journals (but I've nearly always kept that and my background work-safe so I can view it at work). However, it wouldn't surprise me if they soon won't allow any userpics to be 'offensive' because the fact is that anyone can go in and view all of them from your userinfo page - even in a FLocked journal. Maybe there needs to be an adults only subscription to LJ so members can continue freedom of speech and imagery - and without the need to FLock journals.

This just so frosts my ass.

One of my jobs is, I edit a group of pet websites. OK, so, yes, kids come to the site, but it's NOT a site for kids... we don't have any child-specific content.

And there's this constant battle within the company over how "kid-friendly" we have to be, to the point where some people think we shouldn't even allow people to use the term "bitch" to mean "complain."

Me, I hate limiting people's freedom. Sure, put some blockades between adult stuff and children, but let's face reality ... the Internet can't be sanitized because LIFE can't be sanitized.

Your photos are hysterically funny and your journal is very clever and adult and there is NO WAY it should ever be censored or silenced. And people's porn!icons? Jesus.

I hate the world sometimes.
