Part 5

Random thoughts:

I stood with it by the window, and could see the lights from the Christmas tree in the living room reflecting on the wet ground outside.

I love that visual. I love the way it made me stop reading and see what Brian saw and be amazed that in the middle of your narrative you slowed down to give us this image. Then I love the way the Christmas lights are woven in and around and through this whole chapter, even during the sleet and hail storm.

Justin looked me right in the eye. “Do whatever you need to do, Brian. But get the fuck out of here." I stood there staring at him. He turned his back on me and went upstairs.

Another way Justin is not a wife? A wife would be screaming this at the top of her lungs. I always fought fair, but I never fought quietly. I would have gone upstairs, too, at that point, but there would have been sound effects, such as stomping.

I would cry if I had to write this. Which is one reason why I don't. FanSee
