I wrote about fifty different things with the rings. This was the first one that worked for me.

I'm glad you ended up with this. I love it when scenes that are typically so schmoopy and full of cliches (like anything to do with engagement/marriage/rings/etc) end up intense and unpredictable and full of emotions we don't normally associate with those events. It brings out both Brian and Justin's characters and makes the scene unique to them. Plus, any time they lose their shit over each other, I'm happy, because you do write that so well--even if it is hard for you...
