This song is "Is Your Love in Vain" from Street Legal
I listened to it and also read the lyrics, and although I prefer the quotes over poetry/lyrics (as you said), I think these lyrics fit well with the chapter. I also like this part:
Do you love me, or are you just extending goodwill? Do you need me half as bad as you say, or are you just feeling guilt?
I think that's something they've wondered about each other at different times, particularly post-bashing and around the Ian era...
“Come back.”
At that moment, Justin had given Brian a really good blowjob (as usual), so Brian was satisfied to the point of near-unconsciousness. IMO, when Brian asked Justin to come back, Brian wanted to make an effort to return the blowjob favor (despite having no energy at the moment), or he wanted Justin with him physically but not sexually. Either way, that's evidence of teh love. :-)
Maybe I'm reading into it too much because of the Ben-related angst, but it seems like Brian needs Justin to be something he can count on (especially his physical presence) while the other stuff in their lives gets more tense and unpredictable. That makes sense to me, because it connects to the multiple reasons why Brian freaked out a little during the argument at the end of the chapter.
Brian's not in the relationship (just) for sex, to relieve guilt over the past, or to fulfill someone's image of a successful/good life. He needs Justin, probably more than anyone else realizes.
Normally, I'm uneasy about the idea of people needing others in order to be happy...but I think it's true here, and I'm ok with that. Ever since the bashing, the B/J dynamic was destined to survive under circumstances that might break up other couples, and to struggle with things that most people might not have to worry about as much. That's part of why we like to write about them...
Or maybe I'm totally wrong, in which case, please ignore the massive rambling. :-P
