There are people who don´t like/believe in Brian/Justin, you know

Sure. There are people who hate shoes, too. And vote for Republicans. And ummm... eat raw fish.

and it is as respectable as those who believe in them

I have a different definition of "respect" than you seem to be using here. All opinions aren't equally valid or worthy of respect. Of course I accept, and even fight for, the right of everyone to have their own opinions, including totally wrong ones. But I still think they're wrong, and don't respect those wrong opinions.

If people don't see the love in Brian and Justin, I honestly don't care. On the other hand, if people offer arguments based on the show that demonstrate Brian or Justin was something I don't believe they were, then I care, and I'll argue with them. Hence my warning my flist to stay away from coffeeclub tonight because there are people there who say they hate Brian or hate Justin.

Which was also, you know... tongue in cheek.

Even us, the Michael/Brian's lovers who, I'm sure, you all believe we are going to hell and suffer all kinds of torture

My feelings about Michael/Brian fans are exactly the same as my feelings about any non-canon shippers: I don't get it, but it's none of my business. People make up imaginary love stories about Kirk and Spock or the people in the Harry Potter stories or the guys on House, or whatever. It's not my thing, but the list of things that aren't mine is quite long.

Shipping non-canonical pairings is on that list. It's like... an alien concept to me. But I don't disapprove of it or want to ban it or legislate against it, nor am I running for empress of the universe on a platform opposing it. I just don't enjoy it, understand it, or do it.

Sort of like sex with guys. ;)

deserve some respect. Let people think for thenselves and go wherever they want to go.

I respect people, in so far as they are civil, as people. I respect their views in so far as they make sense to me.

What I do NOT respect is people who are posting anonymously in my LJ to hide who they are. If you're just doing it because you don't have a journal, fine. I had the option to disable anonymous posting and I chose not to exercise it. But if you just posted anonymously because you aren't willing to be identified with your opinions, then please don't post here anonymously again.

Have fun in NY. It´s a hell of a city... even to buy shoes.

Yes... it truly is! Thank you!
