Amen to that. And I love this part: ready for something raw and flat and hard. It reflects Justin’s vitality and his need for his senses /sexuality to anchor him, to help him feel at ease with himself and his life.

Gabrielle seems a bit…innocent? the way she talks here, even though I know she’s really not. I got so caught up in understanding the crossover that I didn’t process any cues to her age in this story.

She and Justin are the same age. Gabrielle IS innocent, in a way Justin is not... but she also has a natural gift for getting people to talk to her, and she's EXTREMELY NOSY, I mean, absolutely positively gets her nose into EVERYTHING. She genuinely likes and cares about people and wants to help them, but sheesh. She can make things a lot worse by trying to fix them, LOL.

She's adorable, though.

The Justin/JR moments are also fairly rare in the fics I’ve read. I like that you keep it realistically low-key.

The one Jenny/Justin scene in canon was pretty adorable. That was a cute baby!
