The article identified that lj has hired someone formerly from shitty, f'ing intrusive, forces-unwanted=changes-on-users-frequently google. Ahhh... no wonder lj has been slammed with an 'updated format' and no advance notice.

The changes to lj can be compared to the changes to google in how unwanted and unnecessary they are and will likely also compare in how feedback does nothing to change them. :(

Best not to believe the claim that privacy will be respected on lj and users will not be asked to reveal their identify. Not where google is involved.
