I have a great gift for swooping in and posting on a day, like today, when everyone is probably anywhere but on their computers, LOL.
I'm just reminding you all that tomorrow is the last day to post "37 Days of Gusmas" drabbles to raise money for the Trevor Project, which helps LGBT and questioning youth who are facing harassment, bullying and homelessness, and those struggling with thoughts of suicide. It is the organization the "It Gets Better" campaign was designed to support.
All the details are here, but in a nutshell, in addition to a number of specific challenges, I'm donating a buck, with no limit, for every drabble posted for each and any of the 37 prompts.
Come help me go broke in a good cause, everyone! Drabbles can be posted either on IJ's qaf_drabbles community or in the comments on this post on my LiveJournal up until 11:59 PM HAWAIIAN TIME -- the latest possible United States time zone, a full five hours after Eastern Time -- on New Year's Day, Jan. 1, 2011. There will be a ten minute grace period.
On Sunday, Jan. 2, I'll go through all the posts and challenges and do my best to figure out the final tally. If anyone would be willing to lend me a hand with this, so that, say, three of us are doing the counting so we can catch any mistakes, I'd appreciate the help very much! Comment here. :)
As soon as we have a count ready, I'll post how much we raised.
I want to thank everyone who posted or who is about to post -- I know of at least two 37-drabble series that are not yet posted -- and especially to thank
brianswalk , who threw the support of
drabylon behind this effort, has been one of the most consistent (and excellent!) drabblers in the "37 Days of Gusmas," and added her own donation to the challenges as well. Thank you so very much! You make me proud to be a fangirl!
Happy New Year, everyone, and come on and get your drabble on!
