Lessons falls immediately after the end of Desires, a little after the Fourth of July party.  One small author's note: I would like to blame the completely fucked up Cowlippian timeline and the fourteen year pregnancy of Melanie Marcus for this, but I'm the one who got the math wrong. In Desires I said Justin was 24 and Gus was six, but Gus is still only 5 and Justin is 23. And Brian's really mad at me for getting that wrong because he's 12....10....8...what is this a missle launch 12 years older than Justin.
