Brian and Justin are MFEO. That is all.

“Justin, I know you want Brian to be more in Gus’ life, but what business is this of yours? And if you want to talk about how happy Brian’s been, or what’s fair and what’s not, how about you? Just dropping in on Brian’s life from time to time? What gives you the right to decide what’s fair to him and what’s not?”

Brian’s voice cut in from the other side of the house. “Shut the fuck up, Lindsay. Talk about something being none of your business.” It seemed like I wasn’t the only eavesdropper. Brian came down the stairs from the front porch and threw down his cigarette and ground it into the dirt.

Lindsay whipped around on him. “Look, Brian. Justin can tell me that I’m making you miserable by taking your son out of your life, but he has to keep coming back here and keeping you hanging on. Michael told me he didn’t even come back when Babylon re-opened. My god, he was there the night of the bombing, the two of you practically met there, how could he not come back for that?”

Justin had a strange look on his face and his eyes were locked on Brian. Brian glanced at him and then back at Lindsay. "Justin was here."

Justin’s whole body suddenly relaxed and he looked away. He saw me standing on the steps. I shifted from one foot to the other and tried to figure out what was going on.

Lindsay threw her hands up in the air. "He was NOT there, Brian. Michael told me and Mel that Justin didn't show up at the opening night of Babylon. What, was he in disguise?"

"He was at the house, where I asked him to be. So that his and my FUCKING SHIT could be kept out of the firing range of all our FRIENDS AND FUCKING FAMILY."

I stood there thinking, fuck. Seriously fuck. Brian was not exactly shaking, more like vibrating with some kind of weird energy that felt like it was going to fly out of him in jagged pieces. I would have been afraid to touch or go near him. But Justin went right up to him and wrapped his arms around him and pressed his whole body to him and said, firmly, "Take me home."

And Brian took a deep breath and looked down at Justin's face and dropped his head and touched foreheads with him, and said, "OK."
